Measuring and Fitting
What if I don't see a size that seems to fit my radiator?
If you do not see a size that suits your requirement, please complete the details on the enquiry form either online here or available as a PDF to email or post to us here.
How do I choose the correct coradco SST cover size?
First you need to check that one of our covers will actually enclose your radiator. There are 4 measurements that must be taken: Length, Height, Gap and Depth, as shown in the diagram below. Check that the radiator cover has greater internal measurements than the radiator you intend to cover.
Once you have decided on the cover you require, you need to do a quick check to see if there is enough room around the outside of your radiator in order to accommodate the cover when it is fitted. To do this, use the maximum external sizes as shown in the table below.
It is recommended that a minimum clearance height of 65mm (6.5cm) is available above the top of your radiator. This is to ensure there is enough space for the installation of the wall fixing bracket and to enable easy fitting and removal of the cover.

Will the coradco SST contemporary radiator cover clear my skirting boards?
The coradco SST radiator cover is designed to clear all standard skirting boards. However, if your skirting boards are not standard it is still possible to fit the cover as the aluminium end panels can be easily cut and shaped using standard DIY tools.
Does the coradco SST contemporary radiator cover waste the heat emitted by the radiator?
No, in fact the coradco SST cover has been designed with heat convection in mind. The unique design of the coradco SST radiator cover ensures a better thermal air flow is created. This deflects the heat out of the radiator cover and maximizes the radiator's energy efficiency. Cold air is drawn in through the gap at the bottom, heated by the radiator and exits through the vent holes in the top of the cover, providing better heat circulation.
Because the coradco SST cover is made from metal it is also a conductor of heat. It gets warm to the touch but never hot. Unlike traditional wood or MDF covers that act as insulators and absorb some of the heat generated, the coradco SST acts as a secondary convector, giving you maximum heat output from your radiators.
I have a thermostatic valve on my radiator. Will I still be able to fit the coradco SST contemporary radiator cover?
Yes, having thermostatic valves is not a problem; you just need to measure the maximum distance between the valves and choose a cover size large enough to encapsulate them.
